Privacy Policy
Introduction:
At American Investment Bank (AIB), our mission is to meet the desires of our customers. As financial service professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treating customer information responsibly. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals. AIB's Privacy and Security Policies are designed to allow us to do both. The following answers to common questions describe our policy.

What type of information does AIB collect and what is it used for?

In order to enable us to administer our business and provide products and services to you, we collect, retain and use information about you from applications, loan files and account information. We collect and retain this information only for specific business purposes-- and we will tell you why we are collecting and retaining it upon your request. We use this information to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service. Applicable customer information is destroyed after the retention period by law has expired.
How can I make changes to incorrect information?
AIB has established procedures to ensure that your financial information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards. If you notice any errors you simply need to contact us at 800-882-4078 and report the correct information. We pledge to respond to that requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
How secure is my information?

At AIB, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with business reason to know such information. All customer information is considered private and privileged and is to be used for the purpose of conducting business and providing you with the finest service available.

Whenever you communicate with us via Internet e-mail or forms on our web site, we will retain the content of the form or e-mail address and our response. This allows us to retain an audit trail of our contact and provide you with the product, service or information you may have requested. E-mail addresses and other personally identifiable data about visitors to this site are known only when voluntarily submitted.

We safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures, and we continually asses new technology for protecting information. Our employees are trained to understand and comply with these information principles.

Does AIB sell or give my information to others outside the Bank?
We do not reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to parties outside our bank for their independent use unless: 1) you request or authorize it; 2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; 3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or 4) the disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required. We do not sell or provide account or personal information to other companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services of those companies.
Inquiries:

When the Bank conducts business with third parties, it requires its vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them.
